My mother Aileen was born in Dundee, Scotland and came over to Canada after my father (William) had come over first to get established.
A lovely, charming and happy wee lady who loved music and singing. (The singing voice appears not to have been passed on to me!!!) She loved listening all her waking hours to classical FM radio out of Toronto, Ontario. Until recently she occupied her time with reading historical romance. In the past long while she rarely turned the TV on unless it was for the weather channel. 🙂
She believed in a God and she prayed a lot. I heard her praying one day when I didnt shout my arrival and came to see if she was in her room.
However she was so surprised at my sudden appearance that there nearly followed a trip in the ambulance afterwards as she clutched at her heart!!!! Proclaiming “You nearly scared me to death!”
I admired her courage and spirit in recent years with failing health and complications in getting around and having good quality of life.
She is also an inspiration to me and a reminder to stay positive no matter what life deals you. In the end it was late diagnosed bladder cancer and complications with three infections that her body did not have the strength (Geburah) to resist.
Very lucky to be a member of the Academy and to be blessed to have teachers like Dr J.J. Hurtak and Dr. Desiree Hurtak to offer assistance in times of need.
Doubly blessed to have Dr. J.J. Hurtak phone me from California in his busy schedule to give advice on what to do and what to say and then to give a wonderful blessing for my mother Aileen as I sat at her bedside in the hospital reading the Psalms for guidance and release.
My Mother and I and our family thank Dr. J.J. Hurtak and his wife Dr. Desiree Hurtak for their thoughfulness and consideration and very kind words and blessings during our time of need and always.
We know Aileen is in a much better place. I hope mom has been up there long enough to know “My Son may have been Right!!!! 🙂
