Awakening to the Culture of Peace

The very tragic and serious ramifications of massive death that descended upon the community of Aurora, Colorado (July 20th, 2012), by a crazed student with a very good university status illustrates how powerful the culture of violence has influenced the minds of the youth, especially in the West, through the electronic media and public television. The electronic seance consciously and subconsciously places great stress on youth and sensitive minds that accumulate mental programing that desensitizes young minds to experience the “trill of death” without the ethics and compassions needed for life to be sustained.

We must use these tragic scenarios to teach the importance of a culture of inner peace, the awakening to a higher blessing that is available once the mind steps beyond the mental pictures of taking for granted the mind-set of violence and death as a given. We must activate through a greater power reflected in the Psalms through the God of the Psalms. Let us affirm instead that Psalm 143:8-10 tells us:

Cause me to hear Your loving-kindness in the morning, For in You do I trust;
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
For I lift up my soul to You. Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies; In You I take shelter.
Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.

Let our work go forward to the glory of the people of YHWH in a world that cries out for more Light.
Amen, Amen, Amen and Amen.
