            It is with great respect that we greet the transition of our great colleague, scientist and author, Dr. Gerald Vind (January 2013).  To you, Jerry Vind, eternal friend and partner in fellowship of the Ammi-shaddai, one who loved the beloved Yahweh, and the Christed ‘Messianic Seed’ that He, the Creator, we will miss you as you were sent into this world to remind us of our eternal birthright, be all the power of Godspeed!

Gerald’s background in the sciences included working with some of the best minds at Northrup and Hughes Aircraft in early days of the Californian aerospace industry as a ‘think tank panderer’ and writer on themes of space science.  Over the course of the last 14 years, “Jerry” contributed significant articles to our Academy journal entitled Future History to help spread good science education across the globe. In his later years he wrote his own book entitled Transforming Dragons and focused his work on biofeedback, neurological research, stem-cell research, and the role consciousness plays in expanding our understanding of the greater Life process through the unity of scientific and spiritual thinking. His important work will be continued in the work of the Academy.

From the material sciences to the future sciences, Jerry, you came to know the deeper meaning of the scriptures through the work of Enoch. You had the Language of Light for the opening of the ear to the next horizon and the stirring of compassion within your heart.  A ‘transition’ to a new state of Life for most people comes as a shock and is generally seen as a foreign experience, but for you who died on your birthday it seemed almost as if you had a plan.  To enter into transition is seen by many as ‘the end of creative life’ or as a form of termination of some inappropriate life style.  Transition, however, when known and appreciated by insights shared as in the recent book of Harvard-trained Dr. Eben Alexander’s Proof of Heaven (2012) is really a transition into an experience that gives beauty, inner support, and rest in our overly active lives.  Transition introduces another adventure into Eternity.

The person who makes a conscious decision to accept and enter into transition as Jerry did is ready to move into the presence of other worlds and beings of the heart. May you, Jerry, in the next chapter of life be blessed and may your writings continue to inspire thousands of readers who enjoy the work of Academy throughout the world.  We bless you before the Ark of the Covenant with these words–
